Sodium metabisulfite has a stronger reducing property than sulfite and its action is similar to that of sodium sulfite. China's regulations: sodium metabisulfite used for candied fruit, biscuits, sugar, caramel, candies, glucose, liquid glucose, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and canned mushrooms, the maximum usage is 0.45g/kg. Less than 0.05/kg of crystallized fruit, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and canned mushrooms, grapes and black currant concentrate (SO2);The residues of biscuits, sugar, vermicelli and other varieties are less than 0.1g/kg;Residual liquid glucose shall not exceed 0.2g/kg.

SODIUM METABISULFITE USES: as bleaching agent, preservative, loosening agent, antioxidant, color protectant and preservative in food industry.
